Just wanted to drop a line about the upcoming Navarro Shows.
First, we want to let everyone know that the reason we aren't doing the Nelson Family Vineyards is because Chris Nelson and his wife are expecting their first baby that weekend, and I know we all want to wish them the best, and welcome the new Keiki to the Ohana. But we are excited to check out this new venue for us in Navarro.
NAVARRO CAMPING AND FACILITIES INFO:
We will have car/tent camping available right there by the venue.
* You can arrive for camping as early as 1:00pm on Saturday.
There will be two camping areas - one directly outside the venue behind the sound board, and the other main area is about a hundred yards directly the other way, behind the stage. We'll have a fire pit at each area for the campers, and the one behind the stage has a horseshoe pit. I am hoping to turn it into a "Black Light" horse shoe pit, so anybody with some black lights and paint to loan to the Party, please contact me:
The Behind Soundboard Campground will be the Quiet Camping Area and the Back Stage Campground, will be a little louder, due to it's close proximity to the late night music and horseshoe pit. Dave, the promoter and owner, sez the music can go as late as we want it to.
The General Store is located in-between the two camp grounds. This is where we'll have Brown Chicken set up to play late night. The General Store has a deli, a pizza oven, beer, a latte machine, an 8 foot long BBQ grill, and propane and gas. It will be open as long as there is a party going on.
On Sunday morning, Dave will be whipping up a pancake breakfast for purchase. For vegetarians and carnivores alike!
SOME HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS:
Come early and take your time, it should be a beautiful day to take a leisurely drive thru Anderson Valley.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE! The venue is in full sun! There is no shade throughout the day until the late afternoon so sun block, hats, etc, is essential - especially for the Sunday show. Also bring warm clothes as it will get cool at night.
