Hi Glori B and the rest. All of my pictures from Hawaii are still on pbase.com .pbase.cominvertedaircraft or DOTpbaseDOTcomSLASHinvertedaircraft. Speaking of Hawaii 2008 - I still can not find any audience recordings of these shows and thought I read a post here by Mookie a few months ago that the shows would be made available for download. I will gladly pay and really would like to hear those shows again (not a 2 disc compilation to be honest)so anyones help in pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated. Cheers, SteveB

RIP Gary Ewing...just in case any of you knew him....one of Portland's greats is gone...Gary performed his first multimedia light show in San Francisco at the Avalon Ballroom in 1965 and later at other venues including the Straight Theater, Continental Ballroom, and Matrix. He also performed at the Memorial Coliseum with the Byrds and Jefferson Airplane and did nine consecutive Portland Mayor’s Ball shows in the Arena. The bands he performed with include The Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Kaleidoscope, Blue Cheer, Fugs, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Steppenwolf, Paul Butterfield, Youngbloods, Charlatans, Iron Butterfly, Canned Heat, Donovan, Dinosaurs, Portland Zoo, Sand, Billy Rancher, and Crazy 8’s. May his light shine on.

To Fran and James--I'm sorry for your loss of your animal friend. It hurts, don't it. Having lost a few to time and illness, about the only thing that eases the grief is knowing you gave your dog the best, happiest life possible, and it sounds like you did. If you ever visit a high kill animal shelter you know how hard it is for the dogs and cats that don't have loving homes, or any home. Check out Rudyard Kipling's poem The Power of the Dog for some great lines on puppy love.

Hey, for a few more minutes here in Marin it is still 4.18 and you should check today's independent journal marinijDOTcom and read Paul Liberatore's article on the possibility of a Marin Music Hall of Fame and Museum - some names nominated are of course John Dawson and David Nelson individually as well as The New Riders of the Purple Sage. Also a certain Barry Sless (even though he has not yet fulfilled the imaginary residence requirements he has always been Marin in spirit) and two bands that contained one Bob McFee, aka my late husband. Woo hoo to all.

Dear James and Fran, My sincere condolences on your loss. I am sure Stella will be greatly missed, your post is evidence of how much she was loved. I know the feeling, my own little one will be 11 on June 23 and she was diagnosed last fall with congestive heart failure. It has been up and down since then but thankfully, many more ups than downs and she has an entire coterie of veterinarians caring for her - as long as she is happy and can still run and play and go out drinking at Cesuvio's and Specs' and Tosca and enjoy life, I will keep her with me. But I am aware that could change at any time and cannot imagine my life with out her. Stella and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

(Part 2) Stella would have been eleven in July, when we got her we were still spending every penny getting out of credit card hellpost Grateful Dead of course. Our tie dye business started taking off Fran kept getting raises and our Tie Dye 2 is doing very good. Our new store replaced (nobody's business), Wavy's old place on the north end of Laytonville, Ca. It has a small music hall and should be open next month. Our dear friend Stella Blue is hopefully waiting with our other passed pets at our campsite out side where the Grateful Dead are headlining. In the present we love everybody and hope to see you at Wavy's Birthday, what an awesome man, Human Being! Hope to see you at some of our shows, we solict as much kindness as we can from all earthlings. We are basic atheist that have some belief, hope that we already have eternal life. (Part 1) hi kids,it is a beautiful day here in Laytonville, the kind of day it was many years ago when Fran and I drove up to Grass Valley to pick up 2 Golden Retrievers, Scarlet Begonias and Stella Blue for $100.00 each. Stella has been struggling lately; we took her to Dr. Ron expecting some kind of hip thing and we learned she has advanced bone cancer. She came home with us yesterday; back to Dr. Ron this morning to be on the other side of life; her pain is gone, we are sad, sad, sad with nothing left to do but smile (, smile (, smile (. I tweaked my back this morning picking her up and taking her to car for last trip to vet; god bless Dr. Ron. My dad had bone cancer; he begged her to kill him and he prayed for over a year to die in his sleep.

Dear Hmmm, common sense would tell you it is the rising cost of operation, not our consumption. Clearly Mizshely makes a valid point. One cannot even get service to consume anything, whether at a table or at the bar and the staff is just plain rude. It happens more often than not.

We are so lucky to have a place like Iron Springs in our little hamlet. Great food, beer and vibe. Not to mention that we've seen Nelson, Barry, Pete Sears, Phil Lesh and Peter Rowan perform there among many others. It feels like extended family there. Very kind place. Let's put positive thought into keeping this place around. It would be sorely missed.LONG LIVE IRON SPRINGS!!!

Dear Hmmm... you may or may not have a point. I have been going to Iron Springs fairly regularly for the past few years (even with Mr. Nelson is not in the zip code) and I can recall, rather painfully, an experience I had there when David played Banana last December. I sat at a table by myself (there were several empty tables to chose from) and was never approached by wait staff, even though I was dying of thirst and would happily have ordered something. I think it has gone downhill. Or maybe I am spoiled by the establishments in North Beach. In any case, I rarely go there any more and it is because of lack of service. Takes 10 good experiences to negate one bad one and I haven't got that kind of time.

Everything in the world is temporary. We can only count on being here, now. So enjoy Iron Springs while it is there and move on elsewhere when it is gone. I still miss Nave's the way it was in THE DAY, and the Lion's Share, etc. Sad to see them go, of course, but life goes on. The world will not come to an end for lack of an Iron Springs Brewery.

There's something about Iron Springs that I really, really like. And I don't even drink. But I had dinner there not 2 weeks ago, and even when DNB isn't playing, it still feels like family. In any case, Maltman and David Nelson and Banana have arranged a nice birthday party for me this year, and I look forward to spending my 61st birthday at Iron Springs with the Papermill Creek Rounders on May 21st.

I hope their landlords ease up so Iron Springs can hang in there until the brewing market improves. The price of hops will drop and availability will increase again as growers respond to demand, though grain crop prices will stay high. Maltman could lead the way in brewing with barley alternatives like triticale, rye, rice, or sorghum, and spruce tips, dandelion, mugwort, etc. as hops substitutes. The north bay needs more weird beer! And mead, and cider!

Thanks Joe for the heads up on the Iron Springs article. It looks pretty grim for the renewal of the lease with the cost of brewing the beer increasing. I don't really know what any of us can do to help. The whole climate of finance right now in the country is a mess. We just want to hear our band play and if you look at the calender for the various band members that seems to be something of a problem to round them all up at the same time.

Sonuvabitch! Is there a curse on the DNB Universe? I sure hope not, but there's an article in today's Marin IJ (marinijDOTcom) about the Iron Springs closing on August 15th, at the end of their lease. If you're reading this Maltman, please let us know if there's anything your loyal and loving customers can do to help you get your lease extended! For some reason, this board won't display 3 W's in a row, nor will it show slashes. So when posting a Web address, just omit the 3 W's, and insert the word SLASH where necessary. Dots and hyphens will display OK. Mia -- try copying and pasting this bb-productionstudio.com

from the punmaster's musicwire WAVY GRAVY TURNS 72 Wavy Gravy turns 72 this May and once again the self-proclaimed hippie icon, flower geaser has recruited a number of heavy hitters for his birthday celebration. The event will take place at Mill Valley, CA's 142 Throckmorton Theatre on May 15, featuring performances by Jonathan Richman, David Nelson, Ramblin¹ Jack Elliot, Emory Joseph & Woody Vermeire and an all-star version of Moonalice boasting special guests Mickey Hart and Barry Melton. Wavy Gravy will also be on hand with his own the Clown Conspiracy and, judging by past years, at lest a few surprise performers are also likely on the guest list. The festivities will benefit Wavy Gravy's Camp Winnarainbow, a circus and performing arts camp run by Wavy Gravy and his wife Jahanara Romney, and the Grace & Joy Scholarship Fund, which allows economically challenged children to attend the camp.

Aloha Yes, today around three west coast time.. Martin Fiero passed on peacefully with family and loved ones around him. Zero Saxophonist Martin Fierro began his musical training at age 5, when he started with classical piano lessons. being strongly influenced by the sax sound of the Fats Domino By his late teens, he was in Los Angeles hanging out with blues musicians and learning to play the blues. For the next 10 years, Martin split his time between LA and Mexico City, where he had a successful jazz quartet. Since moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1968, Martin has been constantly active in the local music scene, playing with Sir Douglas Quintet, Mother Earth and Legion of Mary (with Jerry Garcia and Merl Saunders) among others. Martin also toured briefly with the Grateful Dead in 1973, when they premiered the "Wake Of The Flood" album, on which Martin also played. A member of Zero since 1984, Our thoughts and energies go out to the Fierro Family

Hi All. Been awhile since checked in. Let's shed a lil Light, the new Donna Jean and the Tricksters CD does just that - Mookie (from DNB) is awesome on Keys as are all the players - nice to see women becoming more active in the overall music scene here lately. As for why not Archive.org, if so no one would send $20 to the band for the CDs, if no one sends $20 to the band for the CDs, perhaps the band will not have gas to get to your town. That's my Wednesday Wisdom. Bright Blessings All, Skydancing Skyspirit - Tom says hi to all.

February 26, 2008 What thrilling rallies we've just had in Texas. First there were the Students for Ron Paul at the University of Texas in Austin. The media said 4,000 came. Our people think there were more like 7,000. In any event, it was a very enthusiastic gathering of our revolutionaries, as even the media admitted. You will not be surprised to know that the young people there cheered the pure message of liberty no preemptive wars, no Federal Reserve, no income tax, no police state, no drug war. Just American liberty and the Constitution, in the tradition of the framers.

Though refreshing, I DO believe we all need to be aware of who our candidates are, and what they really stand for - as well as who they work for. Unfortunately, it's not for us. The system is what needs to change! Please watch the following, so you might gain information. Peace! .youtube.comwatch?v=_Qy97pFDLig

Not talking about politics is a type of political discourse. Negating political discussion is another form of political discourse. A few years back the DNB website had some political content-links and a gif of a donkey and elephant going at it, didn't it? Truth at least has some passion and hope for change, even if it is misplaced on a creepy fringe candidate. Ron Paul's anti-war stance is appealing, but his actual voting record is horrendous. The last 8 years have traumatized this country and have had disastrous effects for the whole world. Kucinich or Edwards were my picks for president, but Oblinton is what we've got, and I'm hopeful the prairie fire of support will overcome Diebold voting machine fraud and sweep one or both into office this fall. That young people have been politicized and moved to get involved by Obama is a good thing. This board seems big enough for a range of commentary and free freaking....

Politics schmalitics. First Obama "borrows" a few lines (albeit important ones) of speech from his friend and now Hillary has borrowed from Lawrence Ferlinghetti with her "Shame on you" speech. Hell, City Lights has had a sign in the window of Mr. Ferlinghetti's office for months that read, "Pres. Bush, Shame on You." I say we go to the source. Lawrence Ferlinghetti for president. Xin, The thing with Dr. Paul is that there is a huge smear campaign against him. Lies are printed, spoken and spread because the controlling elite are afraid of loosing their position. Dr. Paul wants to return to the Constitution. This is where we need to go to restore the Republic. Sorry if I'm talking politics in a music forum but this is very important, the time is now. If we don't change our bushie ways we are all screwed. Change isn't going to be another spoke of the same broken wheel. We need real change. Listen to Dr. Paul's videos on his web site and you will see what I mean. I haven't talked to Barry about it but he might have been doing a friend a favor. I do like having Obama as Dem nomination because he is a great fall back. McCain doesn't stand a chance. So it's Dr. Paul or Obama. The thing with Obama is he stands there and says change so much he sounds like a homeless man on the Streets of San Francisco. He hasn't offer substantial change the way the good Doctor has.

Hi Truth; I do apologize. I realized my error before you pointed it out, and regretted it. I really meant that it *seems* as though you put a lot of stock in Ron Paul's drug-friendly rhetoric, while also ignoring his gross voting record re. Arctic Wildlife Refuge, climate protection, CAFE standards, workers' rights, schools, etc. I'd give up a lot to protect our remaining wilds in Alaska if it came to it. I'd also like to slap Ron Paul in the face with a Coho salmon and throw a bald eagle at his crotch for his ANWR oil drilling and Kyoto treaty vote. To quote Ike Sallas quoting Thomas Paine, "There are injuries which nature cannot forgive; she would cease to be nature if she did. As well can the lover forgive the ravisher of his mistress, as this continent forgive its ravishers." Go Oblinton!

We are still ironing out some business issues regarding making the music available. We will eventually (not promising an exact date!) have it available for downloading at digital soundboard dot net and pressed cds at cd baby and with credit card thru paypal here. As far as soundboards from Hawaii 08 - our policy is thay everyone is welcome to audience recordings as always but not the soundboards. We hope everyone will respect our wish with regard to that and thanks to everyone for your patience while we get it together. Peace!

Mark, good call taking the free boards away. However, you are missing the point that they need to be available for charge, immediately to the fans. Boards are one of things that got this birdy off of the ground in the first place. You hear how good this band is in your living room or car and you have to go to the shows wherever they are at and you have to tell everyone you know how good they are! I would hate to see all the positive momentum gained in the last couple years lost because the music is not available to the Ohana. Get the mechanism in place to charge us and get us the music or make it free. Highlights coming out a year later is not the same as a freshie a couple of weeks old. Just my $.02. Peace & aloha

Someone helpfully suggested he travels to see the band. OK. Now suggestions for someone in my situation I live in Holland and am not prepared to spend upwards of $1000 to travel to see the band. The last time I got to see David Nelson play live was 1972! (Europe '72 with the Dead). I am prepared to risk sending cash, but I have to buy dollars at a bad rate from my bank and have to buy minimum $50. Foreign currency checks & money orders are not a viable option from here. All I can do is wait for the promised online ordering which is already well past the month that was mentioned to get the system up & running. Suggestions?

Hi Truth-the problem with Paul's 'state's rights' jive is that it foolishly ignores the problem of one state harming another through industry, commerce, etc. Smog from coal fired power plants in one state drifts to others, hence the need for *national* air quality standards and the EPA. Paul wants to do away with ALL federal agencies, incl. the EPA, OSHA, Social Security, the Dept. of Education, etc. So rich states get good schools and clean air, and poor states get hosed. Workers injured on the job would be screwed. But he loves big oil, and subsidizes them like mad (inconsistent much?) Your love for drugs surpasses your love of and concern for the environment, children, workers, the poor (he voted against the min. wage act), etc. He wants to gut the 14th amendment, and is against citizenship by birth. Latino culture has added a lot to our country, so I find his position on immigration vile and racist. Put down the doob a sec, look at the big picture and see if Paul still appeals. If so, well, wow.

Dr. Ron Paul wants to abolish the DEA. I agree with that. and yes, the Constitution says it is the responsiblity of the state as to the health and welfare of it's citizens. As far as Texas goes, not only did I spend the first few weeks of life there, I fully believe that it is the content of one's character that makes up who he is, not where he comes from nor the color of his skin. Bush is a theif. Ron Paul isn't. Dr. Paul wants to do whats best for everyone, the whole world, not just HIS hommies. Aloha Thankyou Nelson Gang

Hey Truth, just google 'Ron Paul + energy policy'. The first hit is ontheissuesdotorg's site, which details Paul's energy voting record. Really though, my hyperrational take here doesn't matter and won't convince you. People vote their feelings. Dr. Paul speaks to your feelings; that's cool. It just seems he isn't offering the boaster vote very much. He's not for legalization, but for states' right to decide their laws. Texas has draconian possession laws, and democrat gov Ann Richards did more for decriminalization in Texas than Paul ever did. Have fun however you vote. As for Sailor Song, try again; it's a classic, and as good, in different ways, as Sometimes a Great Notion.

I'd like to support the band and BUY a copy of Aloha Nugs. live in SoCal and since Nelson has decided to never play here again I cannot buy a copy at a show. Why is it so difficult to figure out a way to do MAIL ORDER SALES or ONLINE sales so those of us on the far fringes can buy a copy and support the band. Might be a wise idea to offer additional merch as well. Seems like a great idea for additional revenue. Or just play a gig or two south of Pt Conceptioon sometime and bring them with you. Thanx!

Mark, thanks for your positive energy here. I did a Web search and found some info on The Easy, the Maui band you're bringing to NorCal. profile.myspace.comSLASHtheeasymaui March 27 at Ukiah Brewing Company in Ukiah, March 28 at Mendonesia in Willits, March 29 at Humboldt Brews in Arcata, and April 4 at the Smoke Tiki Bar in San Jose, CA. "The new sound of Hawaiian music. The Easy is a dedicated band of troubadours who play for the real love of music, bringing an island style ukulele sound with influences of punk, jazz, ska, metal and funk." More info on their MySpace page. These gigs are a ways off, but I'll be sure to see 'em at the Arcata show! Mahalo!!

We're looking for some photos to post on the website. We'd like some of the gigs, particularly the Da Kine shows, boat cruise and Cannery show, and any other relevant shots that capture the spirit. Now now everybody, make nice. I am all about free speech (see my recent blog entries if you do not believe me -Lawrence Ferlinghetti is my all time idol). But a public bulletin board set up to discuss the Nelson Band and related topics is not really the correct forum for your post and I agree with Ray. It did appear that you were just babbling on to get some sort of negative attention, a goal which you managed to achieve! Why on earth did you post that message here? It is appropos of nothing related to us, nor is it great art or poetry - certainly NOT "Poetry as Insurgent Art" (my new Bible). I say speak out, speak up, but be relevant. See Ken Foster's Freedom of Art article on the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts page and you will get an idea of what I mean. The pen is always mightier than the sword except when it is aimed in the wrong direction.

>>> then came David and his jewell studded jockstrap. "Where's the Queen" CRIED David. "It the tower with Syphalis." "SYPHALIS, that Roman Fucker still here" 5000 steps later David breaks down the tower door. The Queen is lying on her side. "ROLL OVER" "and be fucked?" "BE BUTT FUCKED IF YOU DON'T" "think of the children" "Fuck the children" YOU'D FUCK A CHIID? I'D RATHER FUCK A CHICKEN!" the King heard of this and ordered David to the lion's den. Lion on the right. Lion on the left. Both lions jump at the same time> David grabs one lion be the left nut, one lion by the right nut, swings them around and ruptures them both. The King being well pleased ordered David to come forth. David, being a slow son of bitch, came fifth, stepped in some shit, the shit flew at random, random being a fast son of a bitch ducked. The shit hit the King in the eye. "SHIT" said the King 10,000 peasants squated in the court yard.

Not that this will come as a surprise to Rider fans, but they blew the roof off The Landmark in Port Washington (for the 2nd year in a row). Contractor, Dirty Business, Take a Letter, Dead Flowers, Ripple .... what a show, and great venue. And help from Tricksters and the Electrix. Very loose management and plenty of dancing room makes the Landmark a little known jewel in the noths shore of Long Island. I can see from their faces that the Riders truly enjoyed this show. Will see them again in the Knitting Factory in NYC. Can't wait! Jim

OK, it took me a while, but I finally got around to uploading a bunch of my video clips from the DNF Hawaii '08 tour. youtube.comSLASHprofile_videos?user=garyfish (Note--Insert a real SLASH where indicated, as this discussion board won't display 'em.) Over a dozen clips uploaded so far, with a few more yet to go. There's at least one clip from each of the 6 shows. Most are pretty short, less than 2 or 3 minutes, although a handful are in the 4 to 7-minute range. Thus, nearly all are brief segments of songs, not entire tunes. Video quality is variable (camera in motion -- I just HAD to dance!), but the audio is better than I expected. Lots of familiar faces in the crowd (and hands, and backs-of-heads), especially the up-front crew. Lotsa GREAT memories here, folks. Enjoy!!

Aloha Truth; I was hanging in the redwoods then doing my civic duty today, so didn't read your post til now. I believe more Americans died in the Civil war than other wars. Did you know that the song Two Soldiers is a Civil War song? Garcia-Grisman's take on that tune gives me the shivers and moves me to tears. Someone here mentioned being either on the boat or off the boat, which is interesting, because today I was pondering Kesey's Sailor Song and how it seems a classic Trickster tale, and how Kesey himself was a Trickster archetype. How this relates to Dr. Paul comes back to how Sailor Song is about the pillaging of Alaska and wildness, and how deadheads pulled together for Love and fought the bigmoney armageddon Hollywood-(d)evil forces, which reminds one of what's precisely so bothersome about Dr. Paul's energy policy, namely, a lack of love for the earth, allowing money and its unbridled pursuit to dictate law and steal the future from us and our descendants unborn.

I have often been told I am full of shit and lately I have responded; well before I was a vegetarian I could not get any out, as a vegan, I can.t keep it in. Our trip to Hawaii with local friends and the David Nelson Band was intimate and expanding, like a return to yesterday and the Grateful Dead Scene; lots of peace and love there from homebodies, AWESOME!!! I have been talking to a few friends in our extended family about some of the ridicule I get over saying I love and forgive all human Beings; I have some friends that say my love doesn.t mean much as it would if I just loved a few. My DNA design got screwed up and I have to practice loving everyone and we have some very sick people everywhere it seems. We need all the help we can get on Tie Dye 2 and the PEACE AND LOVE CAFE {Vegan Dining and Dancing} I love you all; but some of our actions are downright heinous; I am still trying to love everyone. There but for the grace of dog bee ahh!!! I cry with peace love and joy for you.

Camera work is erratic and audio is so-so, but it sure brought back a flood of great memories when I watched 'em. Songs posted include Hand Jive (in 3 parts -- part 2 includes Billy's drum solo and Pete's bass solo!!), Attics, jam > Long Gone Sam (bad audio, unfortunately), Stella Blue, Box of Rain (preceded by farewell and thank-you speeches), and Ripple. Mark, just a note to say that even though I got seasick and puked my guts up, I wouldn't have missed the boat trip for anything in the world. No, I swear I'm not a masochist, but the music was fantastic and everyone who was not sick seemed to be having a blast and it was lovely to see people snorkeling, diving, going off the slide, eating, drinking and enjoying eachothers' company. Even while I was sick as a doggy I was thinking if I'd stayed on land, I would've missed a wonderful time, so I'm not blaming anyone for anything. I should've taken some type of dramamine long before the trip, but didn't for other reasons, which I soon regretted. That was my lack of judgement, really. As sick as I was, I was up dancing in spurts (imagine that!). All-in-all, my virgin time in Hawaii was wonderful. Thank You, Lee, for your patience with me!

Bethey, You wouldn't have been smelling anyone's barf bag if we didn't get screwed by the captian of the boat like we did. It was totally his fault. I will have a talk with Body Glove to see if I can recover some of Marc's money. Next time will be much better, the potential was there but the boat folks fucked us. Oh, well. Next time. What a wonderful group of people! Meeting and re-meeting so many of you was the highlight of the trip (along with the music and sunsets, of course). Thank You so much for being such a fantastic group!!! I'm still smelling wet orchids, wet grass and the sulfur from the volcano. Glad I don't still smell my barfbag! Wish I could thank everyone individually, but there ain't enough room for that. Thank You to Steve and Dan for posting the lovely pics! Please post if anyone sees more pics somewhere. Love to you ALL!!!

Man I am still totally blown away with what went down on the islands. The Tribe was reassembled. The ohana got a lot bigger with the additions of our brothers and sisters from the islands. The band grew with the addition of some local drummer named Billy (here's one vote to see that guy play again sometime)! Thanks to Mark (you were missed badly Sheila), Sound Dawgy, Pauly and the best band on the planet for making it possible for us to fly the free Mexican Airforce to Hawaii. Such a long, long time to be gone and a short time to be there! Aloha is it 2009 yet?

Aloha Truth--naw, not really, it's not true that anybody the dems nominate is okay with me. I just like saying "Oblinton". Oblinton! Go Oblinton! If you're not too busy getting Oblinterated and credulously gulping rightwing confederate rhetoric about states rights, you might consider how, like Esau trading his birthright for a bowl of lentils, you and the other tokin' MoRon Paultards are trading your earthling birthright (Alaskan wilderness, clean air, clean water, federal safeguards for workers and the environment, civil rights for humans of all colors) for a bag of legal weed. Kind of insults the spirit of Ganj, if you ask me, but then nobody did. Truth, indeed!

Ron Paul is an ultra-conservative who calls himself as a Libertarian. He always votes for big business. He wants to do away with federal control and protections, including the EPA, which is idiotic. He wants big business to establish worker safety regulations, not OSHA. Sheesh. He voted to drill in the Arctic Wildlife REFUGE. If you want legalized herb, vote for that, don't vote for a ubercapitalist tool like RoPaul and think you're helping anyone but big business or the far right wing. You don't address Paul's voting record or racism, so it seems honest discourse isn't your bag. Fine. You can promote racist anti-Semite politicians, and I'll point out their lousy voting records and appalling public statements. Fair? RoPaul's fans include David Duke, The John Birch Society, Stormfront, The Council of Conservative Citizens, etc. Pro-Legalization or not, Paultards and MoRons are all one toke over the line, sweet Jesus. Vote whoever you want, but check out their voting records first, or be a rightwing dupe.

I gotta agree that most black teenage robber's are fleet, so are most white teenage robbers. So what. Dr. Paul wants to END the drug war. The other prospects want to continue to cage folks for ingesting certain substances.

Ron Paul's own political newsletters are pretty damning. In 1992 Paul wrote "If you have ever been robbed by a black teenaged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be." About blacks in Washington, D.C., Paul wrote, "I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal." Have another nutter, budder. And if you want info on his ANWR voting record, check out H.R.2415, which Paul introduced.

Aloha Truth. Pro-Paul Stormfront's motto is "White Pride Worldwide". Cough. From a televised interview, MR. RUSSERT Let me ask you about race, because I, I read a speech you gave in 2004...and you said this "Contrary to the claims of "supporters of the Civil Rights Act of" '64, the act did not improve race relations or enhance freedom. Instead, the forced integration increased racial tensions while diminishing individual liberty." MR. RUSSERT You would vote against the Civil Rights Act if, if it was today? REP. PAUL If it were written the same way, where the federal government's taken over property--has nothing to do with race relations. Of course abortion is bad, and a red herring you grab at to avoid Paul's ANWR drilling voting record. Paul voted to protect oil companies from MBTE poisoning litigation; babies worldwide thank him. Rightwing RP says "I think nuclear is great. I think it's the safest form of energy we have." Ha!!

I'm the same way. I'm pro choice, but first I'm pro life. I think recreational abortions are lame to say the least. Murder is not pretty no matter how you package it. Aloha, Truth. I googled Ron Paul and read that he's against the Civil Rights Act, that he accepted and refused to return a $500 campaign contribution from Stormfront (a NeoNazi hate group), that he thinks Lincoln's going to war to end slavery was wrong, that he voted to block malpractice lawsuits, that he's anti- women's reproductive rights and pro-nukes, that he called the Kyoto Accords "bad science" (coughidiotcough!) and in the 109th congress alone voted to allow drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and to shield oil companies from MTBE contamination lawsuits, voted against increasing gas mileage standards, voted to allow new offshore drilling, and voted to stop making oil companies pay royalties to the government for drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. Keep dancing, and see you at the Warfield! And a great big Gung Hay Fat Choy to all, even you racist libertarian uninformed crazies!
