The David Nelson Band will be heading back to Humboldt County in early November! Help’s On The Way presents ‘Dia De Los Muertos with the David Nelson Band’ (with special guest Jay Lane joining Wally Ingram on drums) for 2 shows at the Mateel Community Center on Friday and Saturday, November 1st & 2nd 2024. Get ready for a spooky night filled with live music, dancing, and fun!

HELP’S ON THE WAY is a local non profit 501 c(3) organization. With this benefit event they are raising funds to help start bluegrass music classes for the community youth. They have being working with the California BlueGrass Association to organize bluegrass music lessons starting this coming fall/winter. Enjoy a night of great music, and support HELP’S ON THE WAY’s outreach in the Redwoods community.

VIP DINNER Ticket includes 4 courses dinner paired with Italian wine, music ticket, early entrance and VIP designated seating area.

The dinner is a full service buffet, served by the amazing staff of Uniquely Yours, a local catering service.

There will be a cutting station for meat selection and a full vegetarian menu.

Different menu and different wine each night.

Wine will be offered by VinoDivino, a local distributor of Italian wine and spirits.

House Bread Selection

Mixed Greens with chevre, roasted beets, toasted walnuts, and a citrus thyme vinaigrette (V, GF) paired with sparkling rose’, Negroamaro grape, from Cantina Coppi.

Creamy Polenta with Parmesan (V, GF) paired with Primitivo Don Antonio 2016 red, from Cantina Coppi.

Butternut Squash Lasagna, with roasted garlic, parmesan cream sauce (V) OR Prime Rib Carving Station served with horseradish, horseradish cream, and au jus (GF), both paired with Gattinara (red) 2016, Terre Vulcaniche from Cantina Il Cocco.

Petit chocolate mousse paired with Limoncello di Ravello, from Amalfi Coast.

NOVEMBER 2

House Bread Selection

Greek spinach salad with a balsamic vinaigrette garnished with sliced cucumber, kalamata olives, red onions, criutons, and feta cheese (V).

Twiced baked potato casserole, sour cream, green onions and cheese (GF) paired with Primitivo Rose’ from Cantina Coppi.

Cannelloni filled with roasted leeks, artichoke hearts, chevre, and ricotta,

finished with a basil pesto cream sauce (V) OR Grilled Rubbed Tri-tip Carving Station

with a mushroom demi glace, horseradish, and horseradish cream(GF). Both options paired with Amarone della Valpolicella 2018 from Cantina Montemariano.

Vanilla Chescake Muffins with fresh fruit and apricot glace, paired with Limoncello di Ravello, from Amalfi Coast.
